New York Artist Reina Mia Brill wanted a site that showed her personality. She chose unusual color combinations and fonts. Her knitted wire sculptures have a lot of texture and detail. I coded extra pages so that each piece in the portfolio has a thumbnails and most have a detail thumbnail as well. There are enlargements not only of the whole piece but also of the detail.
Reina wanted to update the site herself, so it has a database for the portfolio which she can use to add work, edit work descriptions (such as when a piece sells) and change the order they are displayed in.
Reina also wanted to update the site with her new shows and publications. I used a blog software for her news page. She can update the page herself and it automatically creates an RSS feed. I customized the blog to visually integrate with the rest of her site.
This site uses PHP, MySQL and has a humorous Flash intro which uses her sculpture.
